THE WILLIAM L. CLAY SCHOLARSHIP

The William L. Clay Scholarship and Research Fund awards scholarships for full-time study toward a bachelor's degree in the program and at the institution of a scholar’s choice. Whenever possible, the scholarship covers full tuition and fees.

Applicants can come from any high school as long as they meet other requirements. To date, more than 30 St. Louis area schools have supplied scholars.

Scholars are encouraged to attend any institution of their choosing—in state, out of state, public or private. To date, Scholars have attended more than 50 colleges and universities across the nation. The Fund also partners with a number of schools to bolster financial support and encourage academic achievement.

Scholarships are renewable based on academic achievement. Scholars also enjoy ongoing support from board members, fellow Scholars and alumni.

All applicants must be recommended by responsible adults or school counselors who know the applicant's character and academic ability. Students must be high school seniors when they first apply. The applicant must reside in the 1st Congressional District of Missouri. No applicant will be denied participation based on race, creed, color, national origin or religion.
