Not hardly:                                                              Buckley made known his racist views about black people.  He preached that, “Whites, being superior, were well within their rights to discriminate against blacks.” The architect of modern conservatism William F. Buckley, credited with revitalizing the Republican Party after LBJ humiliated Barry Goldwater in the 1964 election for President, revealed his belief that blacks were simply chattel.                                                                              He advanced the political notion that Blacks should be used as cannon fodder in the Party’s strategy i.e. encourage their participation in elective districts where their votes constitute the margin of victory for conservatives.  Buckley’s declaration of white supremacy and “the right to discriminate against blacks was never denied by him or refuted by other conservatives.
