PREJUDICE IN THE PULPIT
Bigotry has not always been confined to the activities of conservative politicians exploiting the issue to elicit voter support from segments of the populace afflicted by ignorance and hatred.
It has also been present and openly displayed in the religious community against women, Jews and blacks by those `pimping’ the word of the Lord.
Reverend Pat Robertson said at the 1992 Republican National Convention, “[Feminism is] a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.”
Too bad the Insane Asylums are overcrowded and the waiting list for admission is unbelievably long. However there are no shortage of “ugly demons” in need of strait jackets.
